    Tennessee Valley Exterminating Company has been in business since 1959 and under the same ownership since 1979. We have been serving Nashville and the surrounding areas for over 55 years.

    Tennessee Valley Exterminating Company is a family-owned and operated business purchased by Joe Johnson in 1979. Scott Johnson, his son, is now President and manages the company, and is actively involved daily with the operations. 

  • Are your technicians trained and certified?

    Tennessee Valley Exterminating Company trains all employees hired and are State Certified technicians. Our techs have a combined total of over 100 years of experience! 

  • How will my appointments be set?

    We call in advance and schedule appointments with our customers before their service is due in order to accommodate our customers’ specific needs. We believe that providing such an elevated level of personalized customer service and focusing on our customers' specific wants and needs, is what sets us apart from our competition.

  • What should I keep in mind while searching for a pest control company?

  • Will the chemicals harm my family or pets?

    No. Tennessee Valley Exterminating Company, Inc. uses chemicals that are found to be safe for humans, pets, and the environment. The products we use are tested thoroughly by their manufacturers, which are the same companies that produce pharmaceuticals in some cases, by independent labs, in long-term field studies, and they are then independently evaluated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to ensure their safety.   • If pests reappear after treatment, has my treatment service failed?

    Not necessarily. It may be common to see pests reappear after an initial service. This may be the result of a "flushing" effect of some products used to bring the pest out of their harborage areas. Some pests, such as German Roaches, will require multiple, frequent treatments to control or eradicate them properly, so they may be still present after the first treatment. The level of an infestation is also a factor that determines the length of time, and number of services required to properly control a particular pest. Not every pest treatment is 100% effective on the first application - even from the most reputable companies. Remember, you're dealing with living creatures and they can often find unprotected gaps in the treatment barrier. Experienced pest control professionals will continuously service your home until the source of the problem is identified and eliminated.

  • How long will the service visit take?

  • Aren't new homes and house with concrete slabs virtually termite-proof?

By building mud tubes, termites can cross concrete, brick, cinder block, metal termite shields, pre-treated wood, and non-repellent chemical barriers. Only a professionally applied repellent termite treatment will prevent termite entry.
